Jasmine Pearl Tea is made from hand rolled 100% organic green tea and organic jasmine flowers. The flowers are removed after the scenting process and the result is a wonderful, flavorful tea!
Jasmine Pearl Tea has a cooling effect that is calming and enlivening.
In modern China, Jasmine tea is said to ease nervous tension, break down saturated fat, reduce cholesterol and increase circulation.
To prepare Jasmine Pearl Tea, take 6-9 pearls and place them in your cup or mug. Pour 8-10 ounces of just boiled water that has cooled slightly into your cup or mug. There is no need to remove the tea pearls, simply wait for them to open and begin enjoying the tea!
The cost of the organic Jasmine Pearl Tea is 50 grams (approx. 1.76 ounces) for $10.50.
This premium, high grade tea is the type of Pu-erh that was served to high ranking officials in the courts and palaces of China. It has been aged 8 years and is suitable for further aging or immediate enjoyment!
Pu-erh Tea is a type of tea that is fermented and aged - it is actually the only tea that improves with age. Many people collect this type of tea to age, just as they would with wine.
Within Chinese medicine, Pu-erh tea is said to benefit the digestion, transform dampness and promote the normal movements of the blood and body fluids. In modern China it is commonly recommended to support the digestion, address cholesterol issues and regulate the weight. And, perhaps most importantly, it has a wonderful and distinct flavor!
I regularly drink Pu-erh tea and have been wanting to offer a high grade tea to clients in the office for its health benefits. While there are some good teas available (some of which we carry), high grade tea such as the 8 year Palace Pu-erh is generally not sold outside of China, where it has become extremely popular.
This Ancient Golden Tuo Cha (ancient refers to the trees that the tea comes from) is larger and made of a higher grade of tea than most mini-tuo cha teas. It has a rich, smooth flavor and is suitable for larger teapots. This tea is 100% Organic Fair Trade Certified.
To prepare, unwrap a Golden Tuo Cha, place it in your teapot. Rinse it with boiling water for 30 seconds or so. Pour off the rinse water. Add 12-16 ounces of boiling or just boiled (do not let the water simmer or over-boil) water to the teapot and infuse for 30-60 seconds. Pour off into a serving vessel or directly into your teacups. This can be repeated for 2-8 additional rounds with the same tea with slightly longer infusions each time. You can also make a single large infusion that is steeped for 2-3 minutes. This can then be kept in a thermos and enjoyed throughout the day.
The cost for the Ancient Golden Tuo Cha is 6 tuo cha (approximately 50 grams or 1.76 ounces) for $9.25.
These mini-tuo cha (xiao tuo cha) come from the ancient trees of Jingmai Mangjing and are made of a higher grade tea than most mini-tuo cha teas. This tea is 100% Organic Fair Trade Certified.
Each mini-tuo cha is individually wrapped for a single serving. To prepare, unwrap one mini-tuo cha and place it in your teapot or gaiwan. Rinse it with boiling water for 20 seconds or so. Pour off the rinse water. Add 8 ounces of boiling or just boiled (do not let the water simmer or over-boil) water to the teapot and infuse for 30-60 seconds. Pour off into a serving vessel or directly into your teacups. This can be repeated for 2-5 additional rounds with the same tea with slightly longer infusions each time.
The cost of the Ancient Pu-erh Mini-Tuo Cha is 100 grams (approx. 3.53 ounces) for $9.75.
